Today, there is so much conflict,
uncertainty and confusion in the world.
The pressures of daily life sometimes become
overwhelming that people feel so alone with nowhere to turn
to. They
continually search for that elusive “something” which is
missing in their lives.
Some look for it in other people.
Others think that material wealth and power will fill
the gap. Still others desperately look for it at the bottom
of the bottle or the high of a drug.
The answer lies not in the outside world but within
each one of us.
The Carmelite Saints are the Church’s
acknowledged experts of prayer and contemplation.
They are an untapped resource for those who are
looking for direction, meaning and depth in their lives. The
Pope himself has stressed that our times call for more
interiority and contemplation.
